5 Keys to Inner Peace

Here are the top 5 tips that have transformed me into a new person. These insights come from my research and personal experience, and I'm confident you'll find them helpful and inspiring.

I still remember paying Rs. 500/- as a monthly fee to a nearby gym. It had basic equipment and an old trainer who looked younger than his age. I knew nothing about fitness or the basic science behind it (Even though I have studied science until 12th Standard). I did what other bulked-up individuals did. No diet. No post-workout care whatsoever. Obviously, it didn’t work out.

After six months, I signed up for the most popular - cultfit. I had to reduce my monthly expenses to accommodate cultfit membership. I did it because I was feeling lonely most of the time. And it was worth every penny spent. In less than four months, I noticed myself transforming into a whole new individual. Since then, I didn’t stop it. It’s been over five years now and I still love working out. I was calm, even in chaos. I even got my RYT 500 Certification done, proving my ability to teach yoga & mediation with a dash of spirituality.

Here are the top 5 most heard of yet often ignored tips for an inner peace. I keep these tips closer to my heart and often remind myself.

#1. Wake Up Early in the Morning: You don’t want to get out of the bed and carry on with your responsibilities right away. Without a plan, you are simply aiming to fail. It’s highly stressful and dangerous. To plan, you need time. To plan better, you need some alone time. Your energy is balanced during the early morning. You have fewer unwanted thoughts, and this makes it the ideal time to begin your day.

#2. Practice Meditation / Do Nothing: Like our body, our mind needs some rest as well. Nothing’s more beautiful than a peaceful mind. If you cannot sit at a place with eyes closed, try sitting in a quiet place and observe the surrounding void. If you don’t know to chant any mantras, don’t do it - just observe the sound vibrations around you. That’ll do the work as well.

#3. Avoid Negativity & Energy Drainers: Avoid gossips and people who spread negativity. Distance yourself from people who drain your energy, even if they are your closest relative. Ask help if you cannot complete distance them. We live in a world filled with people of all kinds. Your energy and time are finite. Spend it wisely and carefully.

#4. Respect Everything: Respect things that you have in life. Show respect for those who offered small advice. Respect others’ criticism and hate. Respect everyone and everything, even if things aren’t in your favor. This is the easiest way to attaining inner peace. Things will bother you initially, but give yourself some time to adjust.

#5. Embrace Change: We often tie ourselves and our beliefs to a specific conditioning or community. As we grow, we embrace them even when they don’t work. We become stubborn when they become obsolete. When opportunities arrive, they expect change. Some expect a little and a few expect transformation. Change is part of our daily routine and our body. Change is inevitable and the universal truth. If it’s the truth, wouldn’t it be a wise decision to embrace the change instead of living in denial or ignorance? It’s time to think!

Please note that I intend to share common and easy-to-use tips with you, but do not be disappointed if you find them difficult to follow. Do anyone and be consistent with it.

Someone said that “the beauty is in the eye of the beholder,” and if I slightly change this quote, it would be “the beauty is in everyone’s eye. They just have to dare to see it.
